Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship Opportunities

Entrepreneurship and Career Hub, University of Rajasthan and Nineth Space together hosted the third network meeting of Jaipur Start-up Meet on February 20, 2021 at 02:30 PM on the topic  Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship Opportunities by Prof. MousamiDebnath, Manipal University, Jaipur. The meeting was attended by selected 15 candidates.

The meeting commenced with an introduction to Jaipur Start-up Meet, Entrepreneurship &Career  Hub, University of Rajasthan and Nineth Space by Ms. Jasmine Sethi, Post Master Entrepreneur. Dr. JMS Murthy, Manager, ECH greeted Prof. MousamiDebnath, Manipal University Jaipur with a bouquet. The students were motivated to pursue their career through entrepreneurship by Dr. JoishMadhusudhana  Murthy, Manager, ECH. He discoursed on the importance of innovation in products   or services keeping pace with the current problems which can acccelerate the culture of start-ups in India.

Mr. Adityanath, Moderator of the session proceeded further by acquainting the audience to Prof. MousamiDebnath, Manipal University Jaipur, Founder Director, Biosolve Innovations Pvt. Ltd.

 

Prof. MousamiDebnath began the interaction by narrating her entrepreneurial journey to  the  audience. She discussed her PhD work with the students and motivated them towards research which can be translated to product. She also elaborated the gap between the academia and industries through her own academia and industry experiences. She also discussed about her innovations and her  companyBiosolve Innovations Pvt. Ltd. and the importance of filing patents over  publications.  During the QnA session, students raised questions on how to search for relevant patents and  how to  get financial benefits from government. She told about google patents and certifications such as Start- up India Certification and DPIIT Certification for recognition of Start-Ups which aids in finances of  the start-ups in filing patents.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. JMS Murthy, Manager, ECH and high tea.
