In an effort to promote understanding and appreciation of IPR, ECH- Incubation Centre, University of Rajasthan in collaboration with Department of Science & Technology, Government of Rajasthan, IPR Cell, IQAC Cell, Department of Law, University of Rajasthan organized an IPR Awareness Program on 26th April, 2024. The objective of this initiative was to highlight to students, research scholars, faculty the importance of protecting intellectual property including patents, trademarks. Students from different disciplines participated in this session and got benefit from this session.
Professor Alpana Kateja, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Rajasthan during her inaugural address focused on Intellectual Property Rights and Sustainable Development Goals. As the global economy evolves into the digital age, he inspired the audience to focus on the protection of intellectual property.
Professor Sumita Kachwaha, Coordinator, ECH- Incubation Centre, University of Rajasthan also urged the audience to work on their ideas, which can lead to creation of intellectual property in the form of patents, copyrights, trademarks.
During the session, Dr. Mayank Baranwal, keynote speaker highlighted the impact of IPRs on innovation, creativity and economic growth by citing various real-life case studies. Participants gained valuable insight into the legal framework governing intellectual property and learned practical strategies for protecting their innovations and creations.
The program was anchored by Dr. Manoj Meena, Member IPR Cell and Coordinator of IQAC Cell, Prof. Rashmi Jain, Head of the Department of Law, Dr. Sanjula Thanvi, Assistant Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Rajasthan, Vijay Saxena and Kailash Mishra were present. Participants gained valuable insight into the legal framework governing intellectual property and learned practical strategies for protecting their innovations and creations.
