INNOVATOR’S SUMMIT - 2023

A five-day fest entitled INNOVATOR’S SUMMIT 2023 was organized by ECH- Incubation Centre, University of Rajasthan in collaboration with International Society for Life Sciences and Kanoria PG College, Jaipur from January 31, 2024 to February 05, 2024 in Shilpgram, Jawahar Kala Kendra, JLN Marg Jaipur to provide a platform to the budding entrepreneurs and start-ups pertaining to food sector to showcase their products and services among the residents of Jaipur.Mr. Jhabar Singh Kharra, Minister of State of Urban Development & Self- Governance Department was invited as Guest of Honour, Mr. Sharwan Singh Bagdi, Renowned Social Activist were invited as special guest.
Prof. Alpana Kateja, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Rajasthan presided over the inaugural session and graced the audience with her views on the innovation in Food as an emerging startup arena in Rajasthan.
Mr. Jhabar Singh Kharra during his inaugural address enlightened the role of millets as Rajasthan is the leading producer of Millets in India.
Prof. Sumita Kachhwaha, Coordinator, ECH- Incubation Centre also shared her views on the role of incubation centres in strengthening the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the food sector in India.
The unveiling ceremony of ECH- Incubation Centre booklet was also performed during the Inauguration by Mr. Jhabar Singh Kharra, Prof. Alpana Kateja, Mr. Sharwan Singh Bagdi.
The event witnessed a footfall of more than 1500 people from different government and non- government organizations, business professionals, etc. providing a huge arena for testing the product market fit of their offerings. The audience also enjoyed Nukkad Natak performed by students of various institutes such as Kanoria PG College, Jaipur, IIS University, Jaipur National University, S.S. Jain Subodh College etc.
During the event, eminent personalities such as Prof. Dr. Dev Swarup, Vice Chancellor, Baba Amte Divyang University, Jaipur, Prof. PJ John, Chief- Coordinator, E-Yuva Centre, Prof. PC Mali, Department of Zoology, Prof. Sarina Kaliya, Department of Geography, Prof. Rekha Vijayvergiya, Department of Botany, (need to add more names of professors and other eminent personalities) etc. graced the fate with their presence.
On February 1, 2024 singing competition was organized where 90 students participated in the event from various educational institutes. On February 2, 2024 poster making competition on the theme Healthy food for vibrant Life along with dance competition were organized where 123students from different academic institutions participated. On February 3, 2024 a cultural event was organized where artists showcased the heritage of Rajasthan through Kal Beliya Dance Form. On February 04, 2024Nutri-Talk session was also organized focusing on the theme Millets and Nutrition where Dr. Sheenu Jhawar, State President, TiE Rajasthan, Raj Bagri, Industrialist and Prof. Seema Agrawal, Principal, Kanoriya PG College, Mr. Prateek Tiwari, Agricultural Expert shared their views on the topic and highlighted the nutritional importance of millets and how it serves as a super food for humans of all age groups. The session was moderated by Ms. Preeti Pareek and Bhawana Raut.
On the occasion of World Cancer Day on February 5, 2024 an awareness session was organized where Dr. Priyadarshi Meena, Department of Zoology, Prof. Sumita Kachhwaha, Coordinator, ECH- Incubation Centre, Dr. Vandana Nunia, Department of Zoology and Dr. Vandana Chaudhary presented their views on the importance of good quality of food and nutrition in cancer prevention and general awareness about the ailment.
During the valedictory ceremony, on February 5, 2024, Chief Guest, Dr. Somya Gurjar, Mayor, Nagar Nigam, Jaipur Greater graced the audience with her presence and addressed the audience with her views on millets as a super food. Dr. Mukesh Gupta, Mentor & Chief Editor, Hello Kisan and Mr. Anmol Kataria, Director, Rank Plus, Mr. Ashutosh Garg, Director, Amul- Jaipur Region were invited as Special Guests during the Valedictory ceremony.
Over 13 counters were booked by start-ups and entrepreneurs to display their products and services pertaining to food sector and sustainable environment. ECH provided a platform to more than 13 incubated start-ups and entrepreneurs to display their products and services and test the product market fit among the residents of Jaipur. The summit witnessed a footfall of more than 2000 people from various domains which included government school and college students and faculty, MSME officials, I-start officials, TiE Rajasthan, etc. The event got coverage in more than 110 state and local newspaper.
