One day National workshop on Intellectual Property Rights was organised by the school of Life & Basic Science and Entrepreneurship Development Innvovation and Incubation cell in collaboration with ECH, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Panjab University, Chandigarh and was sponsored by Molsys Pvt. Ltd. Bengaluru on January 20, 2024 at Jaipur National University. The workshop featured interactive sessions by Dr. Anila Choraria Dr. Sanjeev Soni, Dr. Brajesh Barse and Dr. Mayank Baranwal. The key panel discussions included:
· Overview of Intellectual Property Rights: Understanding the different types of IP rights, their scope, and legal frameworks.
· Importance of IP for Innovation and Economic Development: Exploring the role of IP in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and attracting investments.
· IP Management and Commercialization Strategies: Strategies for managing, licensing, and commercializing intellectual property assets to maximize economic benefits.
· IP Enforcement and Legal Remedies: Addressing challenges in IP enforcement, counterfeiting, piracy, and the role of legal mechanisms in protecting IP rights.
· Emerging Issues in Intellectual Property: Discussing emerging trends, technologies, and policy developments shaping the landscape of intellectual property.
The national workshop on Intellectual Property Rights served as a platform for fostering dialogue, sharing knowledge, and forging partnerships to advance the IP agenda in the country. By enhancing awareness, capacity, and collaboration in IP-related matters, stakeholders are better equipped to harness the full potential of intellectual property for driving innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable development. The sessions were witnessed by more than 100 entrepreneurs, start-ups, faculty members, research scholars from various disciplines of organizing institutions.
